As food production has become more mass produced and land has become depleted due to bad farming practices,
much of the nutrition that naturally was part of our and our animals' diet has decreased or become less viable and useful. A simple example of this is Iron. Around 20 years ago, to get the correct daily allowance of iron, a human adult would need to eat one portion of cooked cabbage.
