ARE ALL ANIMAL SUPPLEMENTS AND FOODS EQUAL?

Sadly not.  As the South African economy declines and there is a dire lack of officials freely available to monitor the numerous products that are being marketed and sold to the public, it is up to you as your pet's owner and guardian to do your homework with regards to any nutrition or supplementation that you are giving.

If the product that you are considering does not have a "Vet Registration Number" printed on the label, it should be treated with a high level of suspicion by yourself.  V-Reg numbers are issued by the Department of Agriculture.  The registration process is not only time-consuming and expensive but applications for the registration of new products have stringent criteria that must be adhered to in order to pass.  These are in place to safeguard the health and safety of your animal.  Once a product has passed the registration process, it is sourced and packaged by accredited manufacturers (under stringent health conditions) and any deviation from the original successful application automatically renders the original V-number invalid.

Unfortunately, there are many "fly by night" operators and ruthless people, buying bulk ingredients and repacking in unsanitary and often dangerous conditions that could very well ultimately result in animal fatalities.  Without an official registration number, you have no recourse against the manufacturer of a rogue product.

Be aware.  Be informed.  It is your right to ask questions and make informed decisions based on the information that you have been provided with.

You can rest assured that all PROMIX products contain only natural human grade ingredients with ZERO fillers (and are appropriately registered).
